zo brinviyer seeks to channel and amplify her words through the music she loves, jazz.
In 2024, she erupted onto the Cuban scene with an innovative, visionary,
and deeply evocative project, where poetry and jazz converge in a spellbinding fusion.
Joined by Cuban trumpeter and composer Lachy Torriente, this collaboration
was nurtured with the support of the Spanish Embassy in Cuba.

In 2025, she made her debut as jazz poet in Spain at the Sala Villanos in Madrid. It is currently one of the most important stages for jazz in the country.
She engages in a dialogue with local musicians, all while staying firmly grounded in the Afro-Cuban roots, the sound of spiritual jazz, and the ritual
of “here and now.” Her performances resonate with the magic of tumbadoras (congas), blending
seamlessly with renowned musicians such as Ariel Brínguez, Yarel Hernández, and Íñigo Gordejuela.
From her time in Cuba,
she emerges as a voice of rebellion,
daring to speak the unspoken, to expose the wounds of history that both unite and divide us. Through her work, she transforms pain into joy, crafting a chant of return that turns intimacy into a political reflection.
Her poems arise from vulnerability —from the clay and the body,
with a musical calling and the desire to be ‘spoken out loud’.
They explore what it means to be a woman in a world dominated by men. They delve into rage, faith, shame, motherhood, and the border.
But above all, they explore Love as a driving force.

Through this project, she invites us to celebrate life, to release our fears,
to question who we are and why we are here, allowing the music to save us and
